Homemade Applesauce

Making your own homemade applesauce for baking and snacking is easy with this delicious, quick and healthy recipe that's free of added sugar.
Servings 5 Cups

Ingredients

  • 8 Medium - Large Apples - any variety - we like Gala, Fuji, Pink Lady & Granny Smith peeled, cored and chopped evenly
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Lemon juiced
  • Pinch Salt

Instructions

  • Add prepared apples into a large pot over medium heat
  • Add remaining ingredients and stir
  • When the liquid starts to boil reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until apples are very soft - approximately half an hour depending on how large you chopped the apples
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool

  • Add to a blender and process to your desired consistency
  • Store in mason jars or other airtight containers in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks or in the freezer for a few months

Notes

You can use any variety of apples you'd like for this recipe but I do recommend using more than one type of apple
